I²C (Inter-Integrated Circuit)

I²C (Inter-Integrated Circuit) is a multi-master serial bus invented by Philips that is used to attach low-speed peripherals to a motherboard, embedded system, etc.

Hardware Requirement:
I2C bus uses only two lines Serial Data Line (SDA) and Serial Clock (SCL) bidirectional open drain line.
The lines must be externally pulled up with resistors to +5 V or +3.3 V although other higher or lower voltages are also permitted.
